Public transit is essential to
our region.

But SEPTA is being left behind when it comes to state funding, and there are dire consequences for transit riders and all Philadelphians if the Pennsylvania legislature doesn't provide more funding.

Governor Shapiro authorized a temporary infusion of state money for transit, but the work isn't done. We need a guaranteed source of funds so Philadelphia can maintain adequate transit service for years to come as well as improve and expand our system.
